This is an event that, unfortunately, I have very little information about. Apparently, in the Northwest Terrority in Canada, Eskimos killed a huge bear with yellow fur. The skin and skull of the bear was taken to the Smithsonian, where it was ignored. Early in the 20th century, a scientist found the carcass, and said that it was a prehistoric species. Apparently, there is no other evidence of the bear, and I have never heard any other details about it.
